Part One

  • Do any of the courses require previous training?
None of the courses require previous experience except ICD-10 which requires either adequate previous work experience using ICD-9 or a course with equivalent content.
  • What if I find out a course is wrong for me?
Please see our return policy. In the event you wish to switch courses please contact us. In some cases we can credit your tuition towards a different course. The amount of such credit would be determined on a case by case basis.
  • What kind of computer expertise do I need to take the online courses?
You only need a basic understanding of how to connect to the Internet, use a browser and download and read a PDF (electronic book).
  • What kind of hardware and software do I need to take the courses?
Our site is mobile enabled so in theory all you need is a Smart phone. However for ease of navigating we recommend at least the screen size of an iPad and preferably a laptop. As for software you only need a modern browser and a PDF reader (or a PDF plugin for your browser).
  • What if I get stuck in a course? Is help available?
We have instructors available 7 days per week that are fully experienced in the field of every course we offer.  We are happy to help any time you have questions.  You are never on your own; we are always available to help you through any questions you may have.
  • What kind of assistance do you offer in helping me find a job?
We cannot guarantee that everyone who completes the course successfully will receive a job offer. However we offer assistance in writing your resume and referrals to our extensive list of contacts when there is an appropriate job available in your region.
  • How are each of the courses structured?
Please see our syllabus for a detailed listing of the modules which comprise each course.
  • What payment options do you offer?
The payment options available for each course are detailed on the respective purchase pages for the individual courses. The payments available for the CD versions are detailed on the Courses on CDs page.  However, we are willing to work with you if you don’t see a payment plan that suits your needs;  just let us know and we will do whatever we can to help find a payment plan for you.
  • Can I use student loan programs to pay for your courses?
Yes , these programs qualify for student loans in most cases.
  • Are your programs accredited?
No, we are not an accredited online school, and the savings are passed on to our students.
Accreditation simply means that a government approved body has said “a particular course passes basic but complete standards for education”.   However, the courses we provide are used by hundreds of colleges and online schools across the nation.  Jari Davis, founder of Meditech and coding administrator for the World Health Organization (WHO), has written all our courses, and was also the pioneer of online medical courses in the early 1990’s.  Our courses over-deliver, and you can count on a first class education in your field.  :)
  • Can I use military education loans or grants to pay for my course?
Not in the U.S. If you are a Canadian resident, please contact us; you may be able to use a government grant.
  • I’m considering buying a CD. How long will it take to arrive?
CDs will be shipped priority mail and should arrive within 3-5 days.
  • How long does it take to complete the courses?
Please see our syllabus for details on each course. In most cases your online access is for one year. We consider that the maximum amount of time will take for most people to complete the course. In the case of unforeseen circumstances we will provide you more time to complete your course.  We do not want our students to feel pressured into completing the course within a certain time frame.

  • Who needs to take the final exam?
